Tutorial 5 of 7
Batch runs, history and A/B comparisons
Intermediate 7 min
Run one check over up to 50 hashes or addresses, download the CSV, and compare runs over time or two scenarios side by side.
Some questions cover many subjects: which of these 30 withdrawals reverted, which of our hot wallets still have unlimited approvals? A batch run repeats one check with the same settings for every line.
1. Set up a batch
Add a check, for example Add → Transaction Decoder, and keep Data source on Look up a transaction hash. Every check whose subject is a hash or an address has a Batch run card. Paste one subject per line into Subjects (one per line), or press Fill from the address book to take every matching entry.
Press Run over all lines. A progress bar counts the lines (Line 2 of 3: 0x865a…1382); each line is one request to the tool API, and Chainscope waits when the rate limit is reached. Cancel stops the batch.
2. Read the batch result
The Batch results table lists every line with its Worst finding, the number of warnings and the tool's summary. A line that cannot run is reported in place — for a short hash: The transaction hash must be 0x followed by 64 hex characters. The run summary says how many lines worked: The batch ran for 2 of 3 lines; the others failed.
The findings of all lines appear on the dashboard with their line underneath. Download batch CSV exports the table.
3. Watch the numbers move
The Daily market desk template runs five live checks: gas on seven chains, USDT flows, MEV in the latest Ethereum block, Base batches and Aave liquidations. Its Live results are stale after (hours) setting is 12. Open it in the morning and again in the afternoon.
Each check's Run history shows sparklines for its numeric metrics — for the gas check ERC-20 transfer on Ethereum (USD) and the Next base fee of every chain — and, for every run, what was new, resolved or changed compared with the run before.
4. Scenario A/B
Compare (press 6) puts any two runs next to each other: the same check before and after a change, or two checks of the same tool. Typical uses:
- Wallet Permission Explorer before and after you revoked approvals.
- Two Contract Upgrade Explorer checks for two candidate tokens.
- Two Gas Fee Intelligence runs at different times of day.
Pick Run A and Run B; the table lists every metric with A, B and Change (absolute and percent), followed by Only in B (new) and Only in A (resolved or absent in B). Duplicate check (Ctrl+D) is the quickest way to build scenario B.
Next: DAO votes and token unlocks.
